The Best Lingerie for Maternity Boudoir

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to have maternity boudoir sessions wit my clients and they are one of my absolute favorites! It has been incredible to see my clients go through different milestones in their life. I’ve had some clients that do a boudoir session as a wedding gift and then come back to me again when they are pregnant.

Being able to capture a woman's beauty during this stage of her life is so special to me! Especially because their body is completely changing and sometimes they don't feel like their usual self. One of the biggest questions I get asked about the most is what to wear. Most ladies won't want to buy bigger lingerie because they are unsure of when they will wear it with their ever-changing body and that is completely okay! There are so many other options out there that will work just as well. Here are a few tips for your next maternity boudoir session.

The Best Lingerie for Maternity Boudoir

Bra and Panty Sets

Bra and panty sets are the best! So many of my clients, whether it is a maternity session or a boudoir session, are always surprised when I recommend a classic bra and panty set. Not only can you wear them again and again but the options are endless. You can switch it up a little bit with different colors and patterns and even different styles. You can go for a more casual look or a moody and sexy look depending on what type of bra and panty set you to get. If you want to kick it up on a notch on the sex appeal, you can always go topless as well.

Lingerie

Maternity lingerie is always an option! Depending on what stage of pregnancy you are in, you can either shop your favorite stores in just a bigger size or you can look around at different maternity lingerie stores. Bodysuits and slips are my go-to recommendation because they usually are comfortable and has a little bit more of a stretch to them if need be. You don't want to get anything that will be uncomfortable to wear around your belly. Lace rompers and teddies sometimes don't look the best on a hanger but try them on! Trying them on makes a huge difference and they look oh so sexy in front of the camera. You may have to try on a few different styles until you find the perfect one.

Robes

Robes are great for layering over lingerie sets, bra and panty sets, or even a nude look. Not only are they comfortable, but they are great for adding a bit of sex appeal. You can show off your favorite parts of your body while covering other parts of your body. It is perfect for showing off just the right amount of skin. You can do a similar effect with throws, blankets, and sheets, this is something you can get a little creative with!

Personal Items

I always recommend bringing in some personal items as well. Whether it is your sweetie's favorite tie or even something you have purchased for your bundle of joy. it is a great way to celebrate the pregnancy and document this special moment in your life.

This is such a special time in your life and I want you to feel sexy and confident throughout the whole time. Being able to document it is such a great way to celebrate this time in your life and you will be able to cherish this moment forever. Having a session allows you to look back on it years from now and see just how beautiful you really are.
