If you are a lingerie lover like me, then you’ll jump at the chance to wear your lingerie for a night out on the town. Lingerie is assumed to only be meant for the bedroom but the detailing can be so pretty, why not wear it out of the bedroom too? One of my favorite pieces to wear outside of the bedroom are bodysuits because they are so versatile. They come in so many different styles, materials, and colors that now you are bound to find one that you LOVE. Trust me, they will become your new staple piece in your wardrobe.
Coverage in the Right Places
Find a bodysuit that has cupping in the bra area. This will let you pair it with jeans or a skirt, and you won’t have to worry about showing off the goods. One of my favorites is the Menagerie Bodysuit from Thistle and Spire. It is sheer enough to add sex appeal but has plenty of coverage.
Add a Jacket
If you are feeling too exposed or that it needs a little coverage, throw on a jacket. Try a blazer or leather jacket for a more sexy look. If you want more of a casual look, a jean jacket, cardigan, or bomber jacket will give you a casual cozy yet put-together look.
Wear a Bralette
For those sexy lace and sheer bodysuits, add your favorite bra or bralette underneath. Choose something simple or strapless if the bodysuit has a lot of detail. If you opt for more of a simple bodysuit, try a fun detailed bralette to give your outfit a fun look. One of my favorite bralettes is the Adella Black Lace Bralette from Free People. It comes in a range of colors and has beautiful lace detailing!
You can even wear bralettes as a top! Paired with cute high-waisted jeans and a jacket, you’re good to go! Lingerie, especially bodysuits, and teddies, can be worn in and out of the bedroom, you may just have to add a few accessories. There are no rules when it comes to fashion so let your creativity run wild!
